Carbon Forward Hybrid Conference
How we produced a 3-day hybrid Carbon Forward conference at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in West London.
Magnite returned to London Filmed to assist with their yearly eMpower event, which is designed to equip delegates with the most recent information and insights on media and advertising trends. This year, we were able to help Magnite return to an in-person event format at the stunning Ham Yard Hotel. The project entailed venue sourcing, event photography, filming, video production, AV support, event design, and production.
We chose the Ham Yard Hotel, which is a stunning venue in central London, designed by British interior designer Kit Kemp. The space was technically well equipped for the multiple presentation and breakout sessions taking place throughout the day, and the vibrant decor helped to create distinctive spaces. However, we needed to inject the Magnite brand into each event space, and this formed a significant part of the overall project.
We met with the Magnite team at the Ham Yard Hotel to discuss preliminary ideas for branding the event space. Our creative team then presented a complete concept for each room, including mock-ups to offer the team a clear vision.
Once the branded items were selected, our team of graphic designers, animators, 3D designers and makers took the initial designs through to build. Items included 3D acrylic logos, custom neon lighting, logo light cubes, branded cushions, animated digital posters and other smaller details to ensure each space had a distinct branded personality.
These custom elements were featured in the main networking area, theatre space, three break-out rooms, and the in-house bowling alley to create a seamless event experience.
We also looked after the registration desk, designing and supplying name tags, iPad hire and staffing, as well as data capture solutions.
The London Filmed team managed all event logistics in the weeks leading up to the event. On the event day, we managed the full setup, and take down, ensuring the elements were collected on time and the event area was completely cleared. In the weeks leading up to the event, our project manager held weekly meetings with the Magnite team to deliver updates and go over the specifics of the event day schedule, ensuring everyone was in the know and confident in the progress.
Our technical team worked with the venue to deliver a full AV solution. Together with our creative team, they brought the spaces to life with GOBO lights, brand-coloured uplighting, neon poles, and digital posters.
We had a number of video outputs including a highlight video, promotional video, and session outputs. To create a seamless set of content, we set up a mini studio within the venue with a branded backdrop to capture interview content. Our event photographers faded into the background to capture candid moments of the day showcasing the event and the branding.
“As the design lead, I am really happy with the outcome of the project. We were able to take Magnite’s initial ideas and design a set of really fun, creative, on-brand solutions for the multiple event spaces.
The colourful decor of the Ham Yard Hotel served as the ideal setting for the event. By introducing playful elements like the scattered 3D logos and brand-coloured uplighting, we were able to create inviting Magnite-branded spaces against the eclectic backdrop of the multiple hotel spaces that we used.
Working with Magnite’s Sofia and Lauren made the whole process a breeze. We appreciate you entrusting us with the creative direction, logistics, and filming deliverables, and we look forward to working with you again!”
